We’re excited to be hosting a fantastic fundraising event in aid of the Nicholas Bamforth Appeal, to raise money for 11-year old Nicholas, from Middleton, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy.nicholas

There is no cure for Cerebral Palsy but quality of life can be dramatically improved thanks to a SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) operation. Since having the operation in February 2013, Nicholas has progressed well and is no longer in pain. He’s less dependent on his wheel chair as his mobility has been greatly improved.

However, Nicholas needs regular check-ups and hopes to return to America this year, where he’ll be seen by doctors for a two-year review. There he will undergo a week’s course of intense physiotherapy and will be assessed for potential future surgeries. The hospital visit, travel, accommodation and intensive aftercare will cost over £8,000.

As the NHS is unable to contribute to any of the costs, we’re trying to help and wondered if you’d like to join us?

Roland Dransfield has committed to raise £1000.00 of the total in order to ensure that Nicholas is able to continue his treatment and maintain his quality of life. We hope with your support we will reach this target.

To this end, we’ve have decided to hold a fun charity bowling evening on Wednesday May 6th 2015 at 6pm at the Dog Bowl, Manchester.

Ideally, we’re looking for 10 teams to take part. Each team (of up to 4 members) will pay £95, which will include a game of bowling, food and a charity donation of £50 of which all proceeds will go to the Nicholas Bamforth Appeal. There will also be a raffle (£1 a ticket) with some great prizes.

We really hope that you hope you can all attend and help make this night a great success.

We would also like to thank the team at Dog Bowl Manchester for their hospitality in letting us use their venue for free and supplying generous discounts on food and drink. All proceeds, after bowling and food, will go to the charity.

RSVP: To register a team call 0161 236 1122 and speak to a member of the RDPR or alternatively, simply email our office manager Shaya

Thank you so much in advance,
