Roland Dransfield appoints Sam Hughes as head of digital

We're delighted to welcome Sam Hughes to the team as our new head of digital.

Sam will oversee the digital strategy and offering for all the Manchester-based agency’s clients.

Before joining Roland Dransfield Sam spent more than three years as head of digital at marketing agency Journey 9.

He also worked as a copywriter and campaigns manager earlier on his career.

As head of digital he will report to managing director Lisa Morton and associate director Caroline Aspinall, as well as working closely with former MEN business journalist Alex Bell, the agency’s head of media.

Following the appointment Sam said: “I’m delighted to have joined Roland Dransfield. After meeting Lisa and Caroline they explained the pedigree of the business and the ambitious growth plans it has in place.

“The company has been going for 20 years this year which is very impressive. Hopefully my addition to the team will further support the team in achieving its ambitious growth aims and ensure Roland Dransfield is widely recognised for its fully integrated offering.”

Sam will oversee all blog-related content for clients, website design, social media marketing, SEO and general digital strategy to ensure all clients receive an expert and creative approach to all their digital requirements.

The appointment of the former Manchester Metropolitan University graduate, who lives in Wigan, comes after Roland Dransfield was shortlisted for its low budget campaign for client International Timber at the PR Moment Awards 2016.
